Massage Modalities

Swedish Massage: A series of strokes (Effleurage, Petrissage, Tapotement, Vibration, Friction) that improve venous blood flow.  Swedish Massage relaxes muscles, increases circulation, and removes metabolic waste.  The person is left with a feeling of connective ness and aware of their body and the way they use it.

Foot Reflexology

In general terms the benefits of reflexology have to do with the reduction of stress.  Our feet are the map of what's going on in our bodies.  Because the feet and hands help set the tension level for the rest of the body they are an easy way to interrupt the stress signal and reset homeostasis, the body's equilibrium.  The above chart is just a small sample of how are feet interpret our bodies functions and soreness.

NCBTMB CERTIFIED

What is the most important reason for insisting on an NCBTMB certified professional?  You are, whether you're visiting a massage therapist or body worker for relaxation, rehabilitation, or rejuvenation, you deserve to be treated by a practitioner who is both skilled and knowledgeable.  That's what the NCBTMB credential stands for - a commitment to excellence.

To become nationally certified, practitioners must demonstrate mastery of core skills and knowledge, pass an NCBTMB standardized exam, uphold the organization's Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, and take part in continued education.

Today, there are over 87,000 nationally certified practitioners throughout the country. You can find them in physician offices, private practices, spas, rehab facilities, health clubs, and hospitals.

To deter this from happening, we unfortunately have to have a cancellation/no show policy.

Due to the commitment of time and therapists, certain services will require prepayment, which will be fully refundable up to 24 hours prior to the service.
