If you live at a low
elevation and fly in to a New Mexico High Desert, your body will not be
acclimated to the lesser amount of oxygen at high elevation. While some
folks have no trouble skiing, hiking, snowboarding, whitewater rafting,
or horseback riding, other people do have difficulty getting enough
oxygen to their lungs. It’s called “altitude sickness.” Call us if you
feel you might have altitude sickness!

The air in Santa Fe is thin! Your body may not be acclimated to the high elevation especially when flying in from sea level. While some people have no problems adjusting, others have difficulty getting enough OXYGEN to their lungs, i.e.; ALTITUDE SICKNESS (otherwise known as Acute Mountain Sickness). The following is a list of symptoms one may encounter:
*Shortness of breath
*Nausea
*Vomiting
*Trouble sleeping
*Headache
*Feeling of Flu like symptoms
Who needs more Oxygen?
*People suffering from Altitude Sickness
*People suffering from Hangovers
*People who want to Detoxify Their Bodies
*Migraine and Headache Sufferers
*Our Aging Population
*Chronic Fatigue Syndrome
*Students Cramming For Exams
*Frequent Flyer's & Jetlag
*Cold, Flu, and Allergies
*People Who Require Maximum Mental Alertness
©Virtually everybody could use more oxygen for overall well-being
and to relieve stress. Studies have shown that individuals in certain
circumstances can definitely benefit from oxygenating their bodies.
Symptoms of High Altitude Sickness can be mild to extreme and can affect anyone regardless of age or physical condition.
In extreme cases, Acute Mountain Sickness can actually be fatal to otherwise healthy people. For elderly persons, or those in poor health with heart conditions, emphysema, and other weakened conditions, altitude sickness can be very dangerous.
It takes time to acclimate to living at a high altitude. It can take months for a person to acclimate completely — and some people never do. How many days of your vacation do you want to devote to feeling incredible?
While you may be in terrific physical condition at sea level, you can still be a victim of altitude sickness when you come to New Mexico. In particular, persons who are elderly, in poor physical condition, or who spend most of their evenings partying will appreciate a dose of concentrated oxygen. Oxygen is a great remedy for those dreadful hangovers.
